Byron is an Emmy Award winning broadcast journalist. He got his start in the business during his senior year at Rutgers University when he landed a job as a news production assistant with 1010 WINS ALL-NEWS radio in New York City. Byron Scott has worked in radio and television in numerous media markets, including Hartford, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Delaware as well as New York City. Over the years, he’s had the opportunity to interview a host of individuals. Among his top interviews are with Rosa Parks, Gordon Parks, Cab Calloway, Tommy Smith, Fannie Lee Chaney, the mother of James Chaney, one of three civil rights workers murdered in Philadelphia, Mississippi in June 1964. In addition to the news, Byron Scott played the part of a news reporter in the 1998 Denzel Washington film, Fallen. Byron Scott is also an avid jazz fan and musician. He’s been playing the upright bass since 2012.
Currently, Byron Scott is an anchor/reporter with CTV News in Largo, Maryland.
